Leave a ReviewVonnie’s Quilting Journey
I started quilting about 10 years ago. I was always interested in quilting because my Grandmother quilted. I spent many years making clothing for myself, including 3-piece suits, prom dresses and I made matching shirts for a country-rock band in the 80’s.
I honestly don’t remember when I started working with Sew Steady templates but it’s been a few years. My first purchase was the Beginner kit and I was completely addicted. Our customers kept telling me I should teach classes so after more practice, I started sharing my love of templates with others.
Since then, I’ve been teaching classes, mostly in the Green Bay shop. We started with some basics and then decided to try Dream Big panels. It was amazing to see what others had done & share ideas. Now, we’re doing TempLee which everyone absolutely loves, along with colored pencils and now I’ve added thread painting to the mix. Next, EmbroideLee!! Can’t wait! I love teaching and seeing students fall in love with ruler work and test the boundaries of the beautiful & creative work they can accomplish.
Vonnie will also be teaching at Ana’s other shops in Appleton & Wausau, Wisconsin. Visit Ana’s Sewing Studio for class and events.
